Marcus is muchly complimented by Katie's comment: :D "thanks Katie". Yet Marcus has yet to see a depiction of Katie.

Katie thinks Marcus' photo looked much spunkier than silly old Apollo, and Marcus has much more colour in his cheeks ;)
Lynn agrees! She has also just had a look at Marcus' BOS profile, and is struck by similarity of pose and Greek nose. Lynn thinks Marcus makes a rather good modern-day Apollo, as they are both lovers of the arts. And they are both nice Greek boys :p

EDIT: Lynn informs Marcus that Katie is petite, ultra-slim (for Katie does not like being called a stick) and ultra-gorgeous. Lynn is currently wondering why Katie is not a model, and how many times she has been approached about modelling.

Marcus has been doing some research about Apollo, as he plans to go as Apollo to a fancy dress birthday party. He is making a Lyre, and is writing melodies for ancient Greek poems to sing on the night.

EDIT: "thanks Lynn. I am proud of being a nice Greek boy, and DON'T believe anyone who tells you that the modern Greeks are NOT the descendants of the ancient Greeks. Some one tried to prove that they were Slavs in denial, and that made me alternately angry and amused."

Marcus reminded Katie of a boy she met at a party last year who came dressed in a toga. Katie thought this was incredibly spunky as the boy was only a friend of a friend and knew no one who would be at the party so had enormous courage to come in a toga. Katie went dressed as a fairy with a pink rose and sparkly wings :)

Lynn thinks Marcus will be the spitting image of Apollo when he walks through the door, and will not be suprised if the guests fall to their knees in worship and adoration :D

Oooh! Lynn thinks this is a great idea. She also pips up that she once dressed as Esmerelda for a costume party. (Lynn can't keep up with the conversation!!!!)

Marcus finds the toga quite amusing, but praises the courage of the boy who wore it! Marcus will be going in the Greek equivalent, which is called a chiton or a peplos.

Marcus would love to go on Thursday, and to a picnic especially!

One of Katie's friends went as Esmerelda to a party too! Katie went as the Ace of Hearts from the book The Solitaire Mystery. Picnicing would be fantasmagorical, although Katie will need to ask before she can commit to it

Evan finds Apollo faintly unpleasant as he remembers what the legends say about what he did to Cassandra & Hyakinthos. Evan thinks Phobos or Deimos would be cooler
And Evan has decided not to go to fancy dress parties since someone told him he looked like one of the characters from Clockwork Orange

Marcus is willing to wait for confirmation from Katie, but hopes that the picnic is not phantasmagorical - he doesn't much like ghosts.

Marcus is impressed with Evan's knowledge of Greek mythology - but informs him that it is hardly possible to find a Greek god who has not afflicted some poor mortal. The essential philosophy of the Greek myths rests in these contacts with mortals.

Marcus forgets Hestia, Athena and Hephaiston not to mention the little known Anteros

Marcus sympathises with Katie; he had nightmares after he saw the stage production of "The Phanton of the Opera".

Even though Katie had trouble sleeping after seeing the film, she still maintains that the stage version of Phantom of the Opera was MUCH MUCH scarier. the film reveals too much to keep the suspense

Evan confesses that most of those productions which others find fearsome do not affect Evan. In fact Evan is so desensitised to fear inspiring productions he usually ends up heckling the actors(not in stage theaters though Evan has *some* class)
