Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone would hav sum helpful hints/ideas etc. for my current assignment, with the weighting being 25% and our teacher marking extremely hard so as to "benefit" our learnings...

I have to design a traning program to improve my performance, particularly in the areas of strength, power, speed, muscular endurance and flexibility, based upon previous fitness testing (mine being strength, power and muscular endurance), give reasons for the exercises i include in the program, outline safety considerations and the aims of the program...

any help at all would be greatly appreciated, especially as to the lay out and training program ideas - if anyone has done an assignment similar to this plz let me kno!

thanks heaps
xoxo

huh? ms gtr, stretching does not lead to hypertrophy, if it did women who do yoga would be huge! it lengthens the muscle firbe.
and im pretty sure that muscle fibres do not increase, they just increase in size. not 100% sure but i think its right.

try setting this out in sections....
so u'd have a section explaining how u'd improve perfmce in each of the area's u mentioned, the move onto why u included them, the saftey conciderations and then the aims....as without wings said...there are heaps and heaps of impving pfmce notes...also if u get really stuck try having a chat to at trainer at a local gym if they have a spare min...i know if i was approached id be more than happy to help...they know the in's and outs of this stuff and will tell u things that ud prolly not concider important untill u had a specific client....
reasons for such exercises could include specificity and effectivness...like u wouldnt design a cardio program for a person wanting to jus bulk up...be specific and straight to the point....also access to certain pieces of equiptment due to pure availability or even cost of such equiptment/membership...
refer to conciderations specifically too...jus dont speculate...factors could be as i mention cost, availablity plus age, prvious injury or illness, reasons for wanting to undertake a program, if needed the attainment of a med certificate stating that ur client is able to train...
aims is a bit of a slut...jus basically state that ud be sensitve to the clients wishes by establishing goals which are obtainable....bla bla...also again be specific by using heaps of examples to reinforce ur ideas....aims could include maintanence of motivation, contented focus....um....as well as physical aspects such as increased strength and power, decreased body fat and increased muscle mass....
hope this ramble helps...good luck

Just remember the two golden rules of PDH/PE:

1) The Carrot and The Stick
2) Don't re-invent the wheel, innovation is the key.

Therefore, a huge slab of chocolate dangling over a tredmill = success.
