Hey guys, I’ve got an in-class essay on change coming up and I was hoping I could get some advice on how I could link Star Wars, the door and the times they are a changing by bobbie Dylan together? Help me prepare for the real thing at the end of the year We’re not getting told what the question is…
I posted in the change forum, it seems pretty dead these days lol
Cheers, KK
when i had a essay to do, the question was, how is change depicted to the viewer through the composer, or something like that ..
You did The Door, by Miroslav Holub right ? That depicts
positive change ...
Star Wars ? Be
more specific ... If its Episode 3 its a negative change ... If its Episode 6 its a positive change...
Here are quotes from my introduction:
"Change is viewed as a negative or positive process"
"Composers use filmic and language techiniques to demonstrate change"
Basically, just write about how change is depicted
1. Name your technique
2. Quote it
3. Explain its effectiveness
Example quote from my essay with "The Door":
"The Door" is an imperative verb that describes the imaginary barriers that confine individuals
In an essay, dont write:
1) In first person (I, me)
2) In second person (You, he)
3) Contractions (Don't, won't)
