I've been reading up on UNSW's undergraduate medical course, and in the 6th year there seems to be an "ILP". I'm a bit confused as to whether you get to choose your own ILP from a list of projects or whether you make your own? And does it make you a better doctor? Responses from UNSW med students would be preferred, but if anyone knows, I'm all ears!

Cheers in Advance!

I just graduated from unsw, first yr of the new program. Re: the ILP. You can do either (create your own or pick from the list - most pick from the list as this is way easier). Its a bit of a lottery. Some ILPs have been great, people got published and learnt alot. Others didnt work out as well but it was an expereince none the less of the joys of research. And its a light yr usually in terms of load. Hope that helps and u get in
