hey everyone,

i have a tech question stemming from what i've experienced on the net. I typed in a normal site (that i have been to before), and it came up as
"Index of/"
and had a Parental Directory below it (aren't those directories usually used for image based sites when you type https instead of http at the start?). The parental directory is completely empty and has no function or pictures/data.
Anyway, I'm sure when i attempted to access the site yesterday (and it wouldn't work) it said something about the site being restricted (as tho someone at home had restricted access to the site), and I was wondering where I should go from here to see if it is indeed blocked etc (as I definitely didn't block it, and it's my comp). Any other suggestions of what is wrong would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

it seems as though the directory permisions were changed if it was giving you a http error tell you that then thats probably the case it sounds like they are playing around with the config for there http software

thank you all for your input. It did help a lot, and I found that it was actually someone messing with the directory permissions.

and no, it wasn't restricted like 403 :)
