could someone please tell me whether why phenolphthalein is right indicator to use when conducting titration when the acid is ethanoic acid and the base is sodium hydroxide???
its worth 4 marks ... so yeh could someone give me a briefing on what should i write.

Sodium hydroxide is a strong base while ethanoic acid is a weak acid so the resulting solution is going to be weakly basic.

Phenolphthalein has a transition range between 8.3–10.0 which is in the basic region.
