Hi im in yr11 and im having trouble with this assignment for chemistry.

The assignment has to do with the industrial separation of a mixture.

i need some suggestions on the type of mixture to do it on n some links to info on the process used to separate it.

If you want the easiest, Sea salt from sea water. If you want to impress your teacher do petrol or aluminum.

The assignment asks for the uses of the products after separation. Bauxite only gives aluminium.


so idk if it would be a good mixture to do it on.

You'll be amazed what aluminium is used in. If that doesnt satisfy you, try copper.

Ye i get what you mean the wide variety of uses of aluminium. But then ill have to discuss a whole lot on just aluminium.

Names of actual mixtures would be appreciated.

1. what are some wastes that are produced from the separation of bauxite?
2. do u no any gud websites for info on bauxite extraction
