I was cheking out the 2001-2004 HSC papers, and especially the extended reponses, where we get a choice of 2, and i noticed a very interesting trend.

2001
With reference to a global business you have studied, analyse the drivers of globalisation, and how the business has developed its marketing strategies in response to the push for globalisation.
OR
With reference to a global business you have studied, analyse the elements of its marketing plan, and how it manages the marketing of its products on a global scale.

2002
Outline the role of stakeholders in resolving industrial conflict, and critically analyse the impact of global trends in employment relations on business role and structure.
OR
Outline the reasons why businesses expand globally, and critically analyse the political, social/cultural and management issues that arise with a global workforce.

2003
Describe how business can manage change effectively, and evaluate the effectiveness of employment relations strategies in achieving change.
OR
Describe the nature and sources of change in business, and evaluate their impact on employment relations.

2004
Describe the role of financial planning, and evaluate the effectiveness of financial strategies used in managing global business.
OR
Describe the methods of international business expansion, and evaluate the effectiveness of sources of funds to finance global expansion.


DOES ANYONE ELSE NOTICE A TREND AND BETTER YET DOES THIS TELL US WHAT THEY WILL ASK ON WEDNESDAY??

similarly to 2003, it could be asked in the report.

I hate global too. However, thats why I hope it IS in section IV. I would rather it there than in the business report! With the business report you have to do the question asked, at least with s4 you can choose between two alternatives.

i reckon it will be global and marketing for the essay.
i hope it is. got 19/20 in my trial for that ^_^


and yeh global has to be in either the bus report or the essay.
its much easier to incorporate it into an essay than a business report.

yea i think marketing and change too.. but they could ask for the financial topic again, because they did ask for ER in 2002 and then ER again in 2003
