Hi.

I'm also having difficulties enrolling..never thought it would be this hard, at least for me =(.

From what i know for electives, you can choose whatever subjects which are, i would assume, RELEVENT to the degree/streams so i would think that you are more than able to choose a history subject. If you want to know more look here: http://www.oweek.arc.unsw.edu.au/fo...6&t=2667&sid=1bc9be7d0f25cc59a0848d586f688da2

For streams, there are obviously 6 streams which are Global/Development/Asian/Euro/International Bus./Language. You choose your subjects based on which stream your going to major on.

In GLOBAL STUD. you learn about poltics/Govt/international relations/history and so on...but i have to say im also in the same situation as you: im starting this year !!!

In Asian/Euro i think you learn more of the history of the area of the world you specialise on but not without a few stuff to do with govt. etc. http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/plans/2008/ASIAA13424.html

In International Bus. i think you just learn about business and management cuz its reallly based in the faculty of business rather than the faculties of the former streams. And i would suspect taht u learn this on an international scope.

In Development...well i don't really know this stream cuz i wasn't really planning on doing this one but, should br similar to global but i think you learn about the dynamics of the dichotomy between the rich and poor countries + their flaws and characteristics.

In language..all i know is that you learn 2 languages =S

I hope this helps. I also tried hard to search for info on this course and enrolling but nobody seems like theyre doing it. So this is all i can come up with. I didn't get any info on enrolling from the faculty + i didn't go to those open days too, didnt really think that i would need to but.. now..........

Hey, sorry for taking over this thread, but I'd just like to ask, for the International Business plan, it says 'ENGL' under 'Electives': http://internationalstudies.arts.unsw.edu.au/program.php?level=ugrad&program=3424 (Scroll down to the sample programs - International Business plan which is the last plan.) Does that mean we have to pick English courses and that we can't choose a non-ENGL course?
