Hi,
I'm hoping to study a combined degree of International Studies and Law next year at university (if i get in!), hopefully one day going to become a diplomat :)
I was wondering if anyone who is currently studying international studies at university could tell me what its like? as in, is it interesting, what subjects were your favourite at school (that led you into this degree), ie, if my fav subject is like modern history and studies of religion, would i enjoy such a course?
thank you =]

Bear in mind that you don't need to be doing an International Studies degree to study international relations. At most unis it's available as a major in Arts and/or Commerce degrees.

But then you'd have to admit to doing a Bachelor of Attendance....clearly a questionable move if you're dating an engineering student (as i am) much rather point out that im in the eco and business faculty :D
Plus it sounds cooler...

PS I'm not actually that shallow, there are other reasons i want to do it

yeh by doing an actual degree of in relations it will be way more in depth and u will be able to specialise whereas in an arts degree sure u will cover it but not in as much detail. i'm going for international relations at la trobe here in melb...fingers crosses(needs an enter of like 90-91)
also just as a side note...which uni is the best in Australia for such a course???

I agree for this. Students from other countries from asia places should be given good chance to study here.
