Does anyone know what the HSC equivalent to Tasmanian 'physical sciences' is. Is it physics?

Um,, I suppose if you had to compare it to a course, it would be an amalgamation of physics and chemistry, it's a pre-cursor to both subjects.

EDIT: Found this:
Hobart College said:
For students who want a preparatory course in physics and chemistry we offer Introduction to Physical Sciences, a course which provides an introduction to the technical aspects of Physics and Chemistry in a practical context.

Physical Sciences provides a pre-tertiary introduction to Physics and Chemistry, and is accepted by the University of Tasmania as a sufficient prerequisite for many of its courses, including Engineering. It is available to year 11 students.

In WA, Physical Science is a combination of Physics and Chemisttry, but nowhere near as difficult as the two course on their own. I'm assuming that its similar in Tasmania.
