Can someone give me an idea of what the assessments for these courses were like(eg test, speech, group work...) - and how difficult? It's very vague about this in the online handbook

When you say the handbook was vague what university are you referring to?

Intro micro/macro subjects are usually exam/quiz based and possibly group assignments

At Macq, this is how it goes

Macro
Around 10 online weekly quizzes, totalling 5% of final raw mark
MC test
Long Answer test (1 essay),
Class presentation (2-3 min)
Final exam

Micro
MC test
Assignment
Final exam

if u miss out 1 quiz , u miss out all the rest after it, its basically a free lunch.

It is useful because it covers the week's work with all the important points covered in the MC questions. It is a good measure of your udnerstanding in your weekly work, if u get nearly all right on first attempt it usually means u have done the readings and understand whats going on, if u get most of them wrong, it means u havent dont your readings thoroghly enough.

Yes 5% maybe little but think of it as a free lunch if u done everything right.
