The sessions are more aimed at students not studying in their first year I guess or needing a refresher course in UNIX, since you learn it in Principles of Distributed Computing. For those not doing this subject, it would be a good idea to go. Even if you are, you might want to get ahead anyways and go to them

Yeah I recommend you go to them. As many students screw up the first unix exam! I did too. If you go you will have a better chance to get a high marks then those who will attend the normal lessons. But dont forget you have to focus too !! .
