You've actually been doing inverse trig for a while - every time you enter [SHIFT] [SIN] 0.5 = 30 on your calculator, in fact, and every other time you've used your calculator to find an angle. The 3 unit chapter simply expands it to graphing and calculus. Just remember: the inverse trig function is an angle.

Look on your integral sheet if you forgot that d(ArcSin{x})/dx = 1/Sqrt{1 - x2}; then it's just basic differentiation...

y = x*ArcSin{x} + Sqrt{1 - x2}
y' = x*(1/Sqrt{1 - x2}) + ArcSin{x} - 2x/(2Sqrt{1 - x2}) = ArcSin{x}
