I think it'd be good for a small music collection but it'd be very annoying if you REALLY wanted to listen to a certain song. Also it looks no different (functionally) to most cheap 512MB USB MP3 player except it has no screen. Personally I'd rather get a cheap one and be able to choose what I listen to. But my iPod will do me fine anyway

No way! I've got a G4 40GB and I think I could go down to a 20 but not anything smaller. I just love being able to choose from all the songs I have in my whole collection where ever I am. Also using it as a USB external HDD is good.

Ah, flash based are nice, but I prefer hard drive based (for massive amounts). I love my 4th gen iPod.. got iPod socks yesterday with ... and bubz, they're the best covers I've seen for ages.

And good earphones? A sony pair are like $20, and they're great
