personally id do 10 units

focus on less = better marks overall
+1, I picked 12 units because I thought it would provide me with a safety net but it just led to procrastination. I could have used the time i had to spend going to physics class to study all my other subjects.

1. 11 units is not risky.
2. If you don't like Chemistry, as what it seems - drop it and keep MX2 and then try to catch up.
3. Don't drop both at the same time, drop one first - see how it goes, and then if you need to, drop again.

If you want better for ATAR, then you drop Chemistry and keep MX2.
Do you think having no science subjects is a disadvantage in uni?
lmao my science teachers are advising against it, because it closes a lot of doors, and saying bridging courses are very long and hard. D:
And I don't know what course I want to do in uni. =S

Well, what do you want to do at uni? If you're going to major in English - no, you don't need Science. If you don't know, yes - it closes a few doors but if you drop Science at High School then you usually wouldn't suddenly pick it up again at uni now, would you?

11 is not risky. I'm doing 11 with JapX and MX2...dw about it.

Anyway I think if Chem is a lost cause just cut your losses and catch up on MX2. We've only just started...

4U doesn't get that hard, but the difficulty does increase a little. Don't worry, if you're getting around 70-80% in 4U you should be okay. I reckon you could keep all 12 units until the half yearly? (that's what I did, although with 13, then dropped down to 11)
70-80% in 4u? isnt that like pretty good ? :L or maybe i just hear rumors about the whole scaling thing

just did the roots of unity omega things at tutoring, so lost D:
but yeah i dont want to do 12 units because, i am struggling to keep up with everything

but the thing that almost made me drop physics is that alot of people are already PRO at physics ( 95% + in every test easily) whereas i am still learning ( i know i can 90 up if i study hard, bludged all of year 11 fml)

ill keep them untill my first assesment tasks, if i fuck up bio prac then ill keep phy, if not, ill drop phy or 4u :S
