is every1 on here after 95+ uai?? all i want is 80... (1 Viewer)

hey all

can any1 give me a prediction? all i am after is about 80 uai even a bit lower will be alright. my results for my trials n over all rankings are:


english adv 60% raw overall rank about 30/80
maths 2 u 60% raw overall rank about 30/60
engineering studies 72% raw overall rank 2/9
physics 70% raw overall rank about 7/25
senior science 85% raw overall rank about 4/25


will that get me a uai of 80 if i cruise through my hsc i should i be studying my arse off right now?

hey... im not aiming for 95+
i need 85 though... but they are pretty decent ranks, i think you'll get the 80 your after . so work hard !

I recall that its the rank that matters ..

So if the highest mark and lowest mark in physics was 60% and 30% respectively, and you achieved 58% coming 2/60, youd own ...

If you go well in the exams, and the people above you in terms of ranks do well in the exam as well, you should be looking around the 80+ range in terms of UAI.

yeh i get extra points also for being rural its awesome!! i can get into my course with 71!! cheerin! but i dont wanna be pushin it.... is there any1 else who wants to do engineering at newy?

at certain universities u can get extra uai points for being from rural, for example newy gives u 4 points for bein rural, and unsw gives u 5 i believe for some subjects. just check out the various institutions see wot they offer....

You don't get extra uai points, it means you can get into a course with 5 or whatever points lower than the actual cutoff. Your uai will not change.

It depends on what school you go to, which trials you did (e.g. Catholic or ones your school wrote) and how many people are in each of your classes. Your rankings are sweet though, so from that information I can guess that you'll be fine.
