Hi all now that my HSC is this year and I really need to start getting serious with my studies I was wondering if I should halt playing video games as I’m an avid gamer. I’m trying to achieve a 95+ star and wondered if gaming should be cut out my life for this time being. So what are your thoughts? Maybe I count fit in a few hours on the weekend or should I work to completely cut?

if gaming is a social activity for you then id still spend a few hours doing that with your friends, but if ur just sitting alone playing league of legends or something it’ll probably just make you a better person to quit anyway

are you kidding me. Just keep gaming you need to engage with things you love or you'll go mad trust me. Im pretty sure I watched at least 2 hours of kdrama a day during year 12 and i still got an atar of 80+. Please do not cut out stuff you like to do otherwise you will literally lose it.

^ Don't cut it out - games aren't inherently bad & you'll go crazy if you don't stick to things that keep you going, just don't make anything in games a priority like "damn I need to hit this rank" or whatever
