In our grades software design we have 2 girls. One of them is topping SDD.

Last years IPT class had 1 girl as well, she came third in the state (during Preliminary Year :|)

I was thinking of choosing SDD or IPT because I like computers and think they are cool, but then I heard that its not meant for girls so I dont think I'll do it.

Nooooo, that'd a dumb way to look at it - you should definately do it!

Subjects are not designed for a specific gender, they are designed for everyone.

If you like it, choose it, but on the other hand you can't do every subject there is.

You mean someone who has done it?

The exams are really, really, really, really, really, really easy.

I already knew they were really really really easy, but I didn't realise that they are 3 times more really easy than that till I did a computing exam at university :haha:

Though I guess the fact that I didn't study didn't help...but thinking back to the HSC, it's not like I studied back then either, for the SDD exam. Not much anyway.

The "hardest" part are dead easy algorithm questions, and you can use pseudocode. I don't know how it could be easier than that. Mostly everything else is knowing and understanding how stuff works, which is also easy.

My SDD class has 3 girls (including me) and we're topping the class (which has around 12 people) so I doubt that SDD is any easier for males than females. I also do IPT and there's only one guy in my class and 3 other girls.

We have one class of 22 people for SDD, 3 girls. One of which, my friend Beth, usually comes first.

Do all schools that have SDD only have 1 class of SDD which only consists of normally about less than 15 students? lol

I've never heard of a school with more than 1 SDD class!
