Hey,

So I am almost last in every subject except for Industrial Technology: Graphics which I am first and I wish I had of tried harder but I was and still am so unmotivated to study although I know I have to and have been these past few weeks after the Trials after seeing my marks :(

I currently do;

English Standard
Business Studies
Studies of Religion 2
General Mathematics
Ancient History
Industrial Technology: Graphics

I want to achieve an ATAR 60 but I know it might be too late even though we have 50% left to go.

What would you guys suggest for me to do?

If you need any more info let me know.

No never too late. The externals can make DRASTIC difference.

What rank school are you at? And also specifically ranks in each subjects and subjects?

I'm not sure, I go to St Mark's Catholic College in Stanhope Gardens and we are the first year 12 through at the school. We only have around 60 people in the grade.

I can't remember my ranks in every subject honestly I just got so annoyed with my ranks even though I didn't try and I know that you get out what you put in but I just left it after I saw it and forgot about it.

I hope the externals do help me, although I think the ATAR of 60 is pretty hard for me to get considering my marks.

Just try to do your absolute best Chris--you might surprise yourself when you get your marks back :) The externals can easily pull your internal marks up if you do well enough. So really, the externals are worth more than 50% :D

I wonder if you know who I am xD

No matter how bad you are atm, if you do well in the externals you can definitely hit 70+ (universal law of HSC) , I suggest going into hardcore study mode... like now. That's what I did during my term 2 exams, I played DOTA for the entire term, then the week before the exam (wk 7) I went hardcore and studied 10hrs every day and I ended up with an ATAR estimate of 96 for that T2 exam.

TIPS: I suggest 1 English and maths paper everyday from here on till the exam. Find notes on all your other exams (online) and memorise them (and do papers). If you're doing 12 units, don't study your worst subject (it won't count anyways). Coffee and gum are good (buy some), only listen to classical music (download some) and if you want to go all-out hardcore, only do 5/10 pushups every 2 hrs (breaks are for wimps).

The most important thing is motivation, think about a course you want really bad, then ask yourself do I really want to be relying on centrelink my entire life? Aim high in case you fall short. (aim for a course with 70+ ATAR)

Thank you :) this really helped!

Push ups are for wimps, I'll do some dead lifts XD

Thanks again!

EDIT: But if I am;

Studies of Religion 2: 20/20
General Math: 23/25
Business Studies: 21/24
Industrial Tech: 1/2
Ancient History: 9/10
English standard: 32/25

Wont I get low marks if some people flunk the exam?

I am last in Religion right, so if someone fails the exam and gets 2/100 marks wont I get that mark as I am the lowest rank? So even if I try my hardest don't I not ge that mark anyway?
