im sorry but your teacher is an idiot. just because you use two doesnt mean youll get a good mark. its all about analysing the texts properly and answering the question

Generally it's safe to use two (better to have too much than too little). It doesn't mean that you ABSOLUTELY MUST have two, but yeah.

The only reason that you would lose marks for using two or more related texts is when the question asks "...with reference to ONE related text".

ie when they want one only.

As a student starting the HSC course this term,
would it be better to use two related texts in this circumstance?
