Dirty Three and Augie March are my favourite Australian bands... Although the Go-Betweens are starting to grow on me, figuratively.

I won't argue that they look hilarious Their music is solid though.

Jet is a 60's/70's rip off band. FBI Radio had some debate it. And I think it's quite true. If I wanted to listen to their music - I'd listen to Rolling Stones, Beatles, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin....you get the gist of it.

I'm a big fan of "good songs played well" sort of bands: The Whitlams (Tim inspired me to go pop/rock from classical with No Aphrodisiac), Powderfinger, Bernie Hayes, Youth Group, MGF (for funny stage antics, especially), Plunderers, Sunnyboys, hunters and Collectors,..oh, this list could go on forever....better leave it there and leave others to discover good bands (apart from the IDIOTS, Jet)
