ISLAMIC AWARENESS WEEK
AUGUST 2003 (25th-29th)
- Free literature on Islam ranging from basic beliefs and concepts through to specific topics of interest.
- One main talk/lecture each day of the week:
Tuesday: [What does it mean to be a Muslim?] by Dr. Zeid Dakkan, 1-2 pm @ Carslaw Lecture theatre 375
Wednesday: [Muslims and Terrorism] by Dr. Atif, 1-2pm @ Carslaw Lecture Theatre 375
Thursday: Interfaith Forum, [Mary, the Mother of ?] by Shiekh Khalid Yasin and other figures TBA (in assoc. with Catholic society of USYD), 1-3pm @ The Refectory, Holme Building
Friday Sermon on Fishcer Stack Lawns @ 1pm
Closing Luncheon from 2 pm.
PLUS An Islamic Arts Expo - [INTREPID] - shall also run during the entire IAW week from 11am - 6pm @ Level 4 Wentworth.
