hey everyone

in the dotpoint that asks you to
explain the use of radioisotopes in
their 'chemical properties'
Im a bit confused...

from physics
half-life and the type radiation etc.
arent considered chemical properties

so for example, Iodine-131 or -123
are its chemical properties 13 / 6 hour half-life and gamma emmitter?

or is its chemical property being iodine, so it can
move to the thyroid to scan the thyroid for cancer?

This really comes down to the definition of a
"chemical property"

any help would be great

I think the chemical property would fit the iodine-thyroid one better. That question confuses me too.

I should probably stop being pedantic with the syllabus
if i write down the whole lot they cant mark me down

If they wrote 'nuclear properties' then it would be much clearer
but trust BOS to write a syllabus no-one can decipher
