hey i was wondering about information on the ISYS subjects... i was talking to few people who like me are not so good with computer subjects... they say there is one easy ISYS subject i was wondering what that is as anything that is good for me for my GPA LOL

I did comp114...which has been rebranded as isys114.

Not being the techno-whiz/nerd...I found it tricky in parts - especially the programming in Oracle bit. But I did end up with a Credit.

123 would be the better option.

isys114 the hardest it gets is coding 3 lines of sql (select where from)
the exam last yr was terribly easy, half the questions direct copy from the assignments.
the rest is a lil bit extra from ipt in yr12

but isys123 is ur best bet for boosting gpa, the stuff they teach is rather *basic*

ok i did comp115 and got a PC, i was thinking just to do the isy123, but not sure if worth doing as for most com/fin degree they just ask to do one comp or isy thing.... how does this subject compare to this...

however if i do this isy thing couldn't it be used as say a elective used for second year semister that requires electives???

having done both

comp115 is programming with c++
isys114 is system design using at the end of the subject sql which is a very basic programming language

comp115 is problem solving, while isys114 is all about designing a system using models

isys114 is extremely easy compared to 115, isys123 even easier

123 is basically dealing with word, excel, access, powerpoint
114 is dealing with rational rose, sql
115 is dealing with c++

above order of hardness aswell

in regards to ur last msg no it cant be, but 200 level electives in relation to isys123/114 include comp247 (comp networks), isys224/227 (extension on 114) and isys201 (java)

Really not sure if i should do another comp/isys subject as i did one in first semester and i want to change to a finance/com degree and it just needs you to do one comp/isys course which i have done...

However i am struggling to fine one more sub to pic, but i need to boost my gpa so out of all the subjects at macquarie would you say this would be a good idea... considering my situation...?
