Hey, me too Sam! :p The only reason i've done as much work as i have (about -403 works), is because if i dont get a good enough UAI my parents won't buy me a PS3 and a new TV :(

"And I don't even care."

lol - You don't care. I don't care. I don't think anyone cares. Get over it. There's better ways to feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Satisfying yourself by expressing your feelings over an internet forum in return for 'virtual attention', isn't safe I don't think.

It's not a cry for attention, it's not a call for reassurance.

I'm simply posting my thoughts and inviting people to discuss them as they see fit. I'm aware that other people may not care, but that doesn't bother me. It's ok to drop the 'tough' facade once in a while buddy - people don't think less of you.

lol - Believe me. Telling yourself that you're achieving marks that don't quite reach your 'standards', for the reasons that you're too lazy and don't care is reassurance. You're trying to reassure yourself that you're smart, well you think you are. Knowing that you're not reaching your standards because you assume your too lazy is fine though, rite? It doesn't quite sound as bad as not achieving because you're not capable enough.

"Ahahahaha. Thanks megan. <3<3"

That shows me that this thread pretty much made your day, possible week. That 'cry for attention' must of really payed off, eh?

"I'm simply posting my thoughts and inviting people to discuss them as they see fit."

Yeah, I see them. I'm discussing them.

you seemingly have nothing better to do?

does it matter much if shotgun_wedding does post up for reassurance? or perhaps you feel he's stealing your limelight? ;)

we all need an outlet sometimes. who cares what it is?:)

Maybe you should just go back to where you came from when you weren't posting. You're actually quite annoying.

Please stop trying to prove something that is not true by finding the most far-fetched reasons as to why. Not only that, you don't know me - why should you care? And please tell me how posting about how I am going to fail the HSC is going to reassure me that i won't, without external influence.

The last time I checked, this forum was still called 'General Discussion on the 2007 HSC' (or words to that effect), so I am well within my rights to observe something about myself and post it here.

-pari- "you seemingly have nothing better to do?"

I'm sorry. Did you miscalculate your post count?

lol - The funny thing is that what I said annoyed you, actually fustrated you. Learn something in life. Don't get too defensive over things bud, that's when it becomes quite obvious that you're in the wrong. = )

lol - I guess that makes me well within my rights to observe something about yourself, and state the obvious. You clearly left yourself open up for a baggage. Hypocrisy never is a plus when trying to socialise outside your computer. However, I can clearly understand this is what makes you feel secure.

Anyhoots, I have to attend my social life. I hope you feel better now. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, munskins. Mwa!

That doesn't even deserve a response, simply because you pulled the "You're a nerd and I am not" card.

Have fun with your social life. While I also do the same.

:) i never said i have something better to do. i admit it - i use this forum quite a bit as a gap filler between study. but i dont spend my time worrying about what others are posting - why they're posting it and what it says about them.

it wasn't meant to be a personal front to you but just putting across - live and let live. it's not a big deal.

it wasn't even something to get defensive over...there's no 'right' or 'wrong' ...he posted, who cares?

:) thats just kinda what i wanted to bring across...not really a big deal even if he is looking for attention is it?

Haha... look at everyone... giving advice. Hilarity.

Luckily for me, i knew when i chose my subjects that unless i was some sort of super brain i wouldn't get a 95+ UAI, and i wouldn't need one for the sort of course i want to do, so i have expectations but they're in a reachable range.

But i have set freakishly high standards for myself in Art, whicih is probably going to lead to much anger and sadness, etc at the end of the year. Haha.
