From the past papers i have done and marked by my teacher (Head HSC marker) it seems to be a lucky dip. You never seem to know what you will get because there is always some minute factor that seems to completely change how you should answer the question.

I thought i carved up the trial - i got 53%

It is the most stupid subject to predict how you went imo

I got about 55% in the trial (scaled up from about 47 or something)

I haven't studied much, attempting past papers now.

I got 71% in my trials, if I could turn back time I would have picked another elective but I prefer this over keeping on with Maths Ext 1 & English Ext 1. This subject scales horribly so a raw mark of 70% would spell certain doom for my UAI. Anyways, in reality the subject isn't too hard, if you actually put effort into it you can achieve a decent result.

I thought i ripped the trial as well, but I got like 60%... (Catholic trial)
A few people in my class got under 40 though, so it makes me feel better.
My average assessment mark is like 80% tho..

want a band 5-6 for ipt, but i got 79% for cath trial.

Most people in my class got under 50 for the trial.
I came 3rd I think.

4th overall.

I'm ready for this exam, but it's impossible to predict what I will get.

i dunno IPT is fairly easy, its just the amount of content

Meh i got 71% trials - just like i expected to go

Hahah in independent trial i got 60%!! (I've never gotten below about 90% in any IT subject before :O) it was horrendous and horribly written (ours was modified too). So many typos and mess ups and our teachers can't marked (if our answer wasnt a "suggest solution" we got nothing). But mind u i didnt study at all since i was already ranked wayy out in front first (not many ppl do ipt @ my school). It scaled up to 87% tho ahahah.

Its annoying cause they expect u to be able to just remember a group of related stuff for a question and i find it difficult to collate all the stuff in my mind. e.g. describe information technology. It would be wayyy easier if it was like "describe the operation of a [insert random hardware/software]"

why does ipt scale bad? its stupid coz its harder than other subjects like business. Out of all my subjects it scales the worste. I used that SAM UAI Calculator and even if i get my best mark in IPT (80), it doesnt actually count.

Well judging from what people have been posting so far (marks for trials) it appears we could be a weak year for IPT, this is a good thing, if the average is low then it might actually scale better
