The Jakarta Declaration is a declaration signed at the World Health Organisation's 1997 Jakarta Conference. The declaration reiterated the importance of the agreements made in the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, and added emphasis to certain aspects of public health promotion in the 21st century.

The declaration voiced an intention to promote social responsibility for health, increase investment in health development, expand partnerships for health promotion, and secure community capacity to empower the individual. As a result, an infrastructure and investment for health promotion was secured in most European countries.

In Aus, the central message of the Jakarta declaration is similar to the government's current health policy. That is the emphasis on infrastructure and investment, with the hope of empowering the service user with choice.

Now decide which few Priority areas you want to look at, and write a few points under the J.D's headings.
Simple study = Smart study :)

was in this years HSC and if i'm correct the 2003 or 2002 one aswell... so it's worth lookn up on lol for all of you 07'ers... but yes u can be asked about an initiative/promotion/program...

In this years HSC.. i used a program called "fresh tastes at school", promoting healthy eating and nutritional eating at school "targetting and developing" the supportive environment as kids are at school for majority of there day and childhood life... so this addresses CVD and diabetes... so it works relaly well with both health priority areas :D

hope that helps...

i attended a lecture at USYD.. Darryl Buchannan (author of PDHPE MACQUARIE TEXT BOOK) was the lecturer and he went through this initiative in line with ottowa and also jakarta decl...
