Hmm, they're 2 very different movies that's for sure. The most engaging 3 hour plus film I've seen is probably The Godfather Part 2.

Japanese horror flicks are scarrier than Hollywood's due to the use of environment/atmosphere and the fear of not being able to defend yourself against a paranormal foe. Hollywood constantly repeats the themes of a deranged lunatic killing a bunch of teenagers and eventually they find out who the murderer is before killing him...*yawn*

Hollywood needs to pay closer attention to what the Japs are doing because they're masters of the horror genre
