Hey.
I know the JD entry is only GPA.
But i was watching some interviews with JD students and when they asked what their undergraduate course were a lot of them said arts/ phyc and occasionally commerce or eco.
Are the calculations scaled as such to account for difficulty in subjects for the JD entry?
Could someone theoretically do a really easy course for 3 years and ace it and then transfer? Would it matter if you got your distinction in commerce or in arts?
Thanks.

Officially, there's no statement of whether there is scaling. However, I don't believe that there is scaling. You could game this by going to a less rigorous uni or other institution and do less rigorous courses.

A lot of humanities/social science/arts types (self-)select into law, skewing the data.

You could e-mail admissions.

Nope, all that matters is the WAM. You can go to UWS and study Arts and get the medal and then make the USyd JD (in theory).
