can anyone think of some decent jobs that don't involve a lot of customer service/interaction with customers? people are ok, just not customers.

all i can think of so far is data entry.

I was going to say office juniors and general clerical work, but you said decent jobs.

At this point, I'd give anything to be back in a job with customers. :|

I'm just an office assistant for a law firm. I prefer to call it being an office bitch.

Pretty much consists of filing, archiving, photocopying, answering the phone, etc. The work itself is ok (even if it is a bit boring), but it's not a very nice environment. After two and a half years I've decided I need a change before I finish my degree (either at the end of next year or the year after).

I find that their idiocy and having to deal with it make work go quicker... it drags on forever if there's no problems or difficult customers ^_^

You could always clean toilets.

I dont think janitors/cleaners have such thing as customers.

Security Guard.

"Security to section B, security to section B", every time I walk into Target or Coles, I hear some ladies voice demanding security to check the isle. She should be direct and insult me "Security to the breakfast isle, some guy with a backpack and streaked hair is trying to steal Weetbix", like fuck off lady I'll buy them if I want them.

Good god man, I must have picked the wrong company to go to, only 60% commission which worked out to be about $5 an hour.

if you dont like stupid customers but dont mind 'normal' people, then things like working with kids and some of the 'shittier' jobs (cleaning, cook, odd jobs around the house) might work for you

i'd rather be with customers than clean toilets or clean up the mess they make in supermarkets.

I had a job at Syd Uni doing data entry this year. Paid well, wasn't bad but oh my god were those days fucking long. I got soooo bored (its what got me addicted to BoS. I used it as outlet to for my boredom).

Pretty much, as much as I hate customers they make work interesting.
