I think most of you have realised that when I come on here, I always talk about how bad I'm doing and everything and this is no different.

Basically, I tried to my best with all my Assessments for Task 3, and have gotten 19/20 for English, 37/40 for SORII and haven't received anything else.
My ranks are absolutely disgusting, so much so that I don't even want to put it up because all of you guys are first or second in everything.
I really really really want to get into Medicine, but it seems so distant right now, as if I will ever acheive it.

Do I have a chance to bring up my rank if I do extremely well in Trials? Is there a chance I can redeem myself in order to get into medicine?

Help a brother out :(

No, you're fucked.

OMG YES, you can do it. Honestly the only thing which is preventing you is your attitude. Once you understand you can do it, you will do it

Are you really trying your best? Are you putting in the effort? Are you going and getting help from your teachers when you need it? Are you on here moping around when you could be studying?

More importantly: you have to modify your attitude. Attitude is everything. You could have the mind of a genius and it means nothing because you're holding yourself back with self pity and negative self talk.

Honestly, my ranks are fucking terrible too (considering the school I go to)

It just motivates me to work harder, because i know that this is it. You cant change what you did in the past, but you can at least try to make it better now. Even if you dont end up 1st or 2nd, or w/e, even that little jump in rank could make a huge difference when the actual HSC exam comes around.

You can still do it if you believe in yourself.

What's your school rank? How big are your subjects? Cause at lower rank, small subject cohort schools it is easier to get the 1st/2nd rankings. Also trials are make or break internally, people falter and people rise, so choose which you want to be :)

I know how that feels, It's an absolute hell. But doing your best is the most that you or anyone else can only ever ask from you. Keep doing what you are doing, and the hard work will pay off.

As harsh as this sounds, remember, if your overall ATAR and UMAT + interview scores aren't enough to get you straight into medicine in your first year of university, there's always next year. You will get there.

Keep your head up, you can do this.

Yo! PM me if you need someone to talk to. In the mean time, do what you can now.
