HSC syllabus recognises that:

.'. is therefore

'.' is because

however this is only in the mathematics syllabuses, i couldn't find it in any of the other sciences...

' . ' is a HENCE FORTH

it tells you that in maths textbooks, e.g. fitz, coronoes, etc.
