Hey, i have just started the yr 12 course for SAC although i am i yr 10, ive chosen to do my PIP on gift giving and the value placed on the price of a gift rather than the sentimental factor. Im just wondering if anyone can help me out with some conceptual links (im thinking maybe gender, technology, time) and also methodologies that would be most suitable.
Also any opinions on my topic, how you feel about different types of gifts and which ones mean the most and what types of gifts you tend to give to certain people.
And any other advice you can give me!!!!

I think gender would be a good concept to use for your cross cultural factor
differences between the values of gifts between females and males? sounds good to me
If you do use gender, try steer away from time because it'll just be confusing
concepts: gender, values, technology, customs, culture, globalisation, influence, leisure, media, socialisation, norms
seriously, just go through the syllabus, write down appropriate concepts and their definition
methodologies: a mix of both qualitative and quantitative i.e. interviews, questionnaires

but in all honesty, it all comes down to what YOU want to investigate and what YOU want to focus on so ultimately you have to make the decisions
