There might be hope for some sort of policy debate for this election after all, as opposed to Gillard's drivel about Abbott.

Both Gillard and Rudd have announced they will resign from parliament if they lose.

Officially a death match.

If Rudd is making policy statements and Abbott isn't responding to them and just plays up on Labor's instability, it'll hurt him, maybe not enough to lose at this point though.

Rudd, even though I prefer you over Gillard you're a suicidal idiot to challenge...

Pretty much this. I'll be sad if Krudd leaves parliament but the leadership spills are doing nothing good except making politics as drama filled as some night sitcom. (This whole battle to the death thing, intense!). Even if he wins leadership, he won't win come Sept 14 :(

Anthony Albanese likely to be deputy.

Feel bad for Rudd, even if he wins the ballot, he won't win the election.

At least with Rudd in charge, Liberal won't win by a landslide..

Darn you Julia Gillard.
7pm ballot means all the commercial networks will have their programming out of whack tonight.

I wanted to watch TV, DARN YOU.

She's trying to ruin the state of origin, the block, mastechef and other "quality" programming D:

DARN YOU.:chainsaw:
thank fuck
What has probably been even more of a circus is the trial by media that has gone on for pretty much her entire leadership. They would NOT shut up when Rudd constantly stated his support for her. How do you expect her to be able to lead if she has people undermining her from every area? I do recognise that she hasn't done a great job of managing her party or the factions, but she was never given a chance.
probably shouldn't have knifed her prime minister then I guess (not srs)
Anthony Albanese likely to be deputy.
interesting

Shorten publicly announces he supports Rudd, not Gillard and will vote for Rudd.

That's at least +7 votes to Rudd
