hey, just wandering if anyones got some info, or where i could get some, on the importance of the dreaming for the land rights movement?
is it just to do with the kinship system, obligations to the land and ceremonial life and how without these, aboriginal spirituality can not continue, as they are unable to communicate with the dreaming through direct contact with their "my country"??

yeah

the kinship systems, ceremonial life and obligations to the land all interelate with eachother....try the textbook first an the try the macquarie revison guide..they are a good starting point..

you dont really need alot on it because if it were to come up in an exam it would only be worth 5 marks..

you just need to emphasise that they all represent the Dreaming in a physical sense and connect to the spiritual sense through their ceremonies, kinship links to ancestors and their ritual estates or "my country".

hope that helped
