the only one I remember is when the ipod mini was reduced to $299 then a better one for $299 was released, lol.

I don't remember any price drop before the new powerbooks were put out.

i remember wen they were selling the old ipods for their full price but the also had the new ones out for a lower price. that was funny.

A better example would be that centrino notebooks are currently being marked down quite drastically to offload them before the July release of Centrino MkII (or whatever dicky name its been given).

my example was better cos it was ridiculous (i.e. old stock being sold for more than new)

Similarly apple sells old damaged (and since repaired) stock at the same price as new stock.
