Hi I got a UAI of 89.05 And get 3 Extra pts from UNSW which equates to a total of 92.05, however I Think I've made a bad choice with my uni selections :X I put the Bachelor of Science in IT / International Studies @ UTS as my first pref, but am now sort of regretting my decision :/ I've noticed that there weren't any late round offers made for computer science last year, even though there were vacancies in the main round offers, so I'm sort of getting worried... Does this happen every year?

I recieved a Computer Science offer in the late round last year, so there's still a chance of you getting an offer also. Good luck :p

Any reason why I should take it over UTS? :p (this is a proper question, since I'm still in a dilemma)

why did u want a late round for CS in the first place if u werent considering taking it?

think about ur future. what will help u the most. what gives u the best chance of getting where u want to be in the future. if UTS is the one that u feel passionate about then go for it, if its USYD then go for that.. look at what both offer and then make ur decision. only u can make the decision for urself.

I was considering between UNSW and UTS during the main round and couldn't decide... And just ended up putting UTS as my first preference, So I figured If I applied for late round CS at UNSW and got it I would have the choice to choose again and hopefully come to my final decision :x

i have a friend taking computing courses at uts and they seem kind of trivial, whenever i talk to him about cool courses i've done at cse he seems to have no uts equivalents to compare them with. i get the impression that i would have been really bored at uts.
I share the exact same thoughts as you, If it were just pure UTS IT vs CS at UNSW No doubt I would go for UNSW, but the Combined degree with international studies is really whats stopping me :x. I'd love to learn the japanese language and culture and spend a year in uni there... I guess both courses have their pros and cons...

Sounds good to me. If I were to do a Computer science degree with an Arts degree, am I able to have both a Specialisation + a Minor in Japanese? And If I do the combined arts degree that would mean I get less credit points for CS correct?

I don't think you can have a non-science major if you do pure computer science (but you can minor in one), but with comp sci/arts you can major in int studies with a language + a comp sci subject.
