I was just looking for any opinions on my chances on getting an offer for the late round. Like how many people usually defer or turn down a main round offer? I got a UAI of 87.6 and was really hoping to get into one of these programs at USYD:

1 89.95 (V) Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Arts
2 83.15 Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts
3 83.10 Bachelor of Liberal Studies
4 83.00 Bachelor of Arts
5 83.00 (V) Bachelor of Science
6 85.05 (V) B of Engineering /B Computer Sc & Tech/B Info Tech (Flexible First Year)
7 81.20 (V) Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology

I know I can't change them or anything, but I was just curious to see what other people thought. Thanks.

According to UAC 59,000 offers were made in the main round last year, 7,000 in the late round and 1,800 in the final round, so I would say you have a good chance of receiving a late round offer.

I'm hoping for a late round offer even though I know the chances of me actually getting it are pretty slim as there were no late round offers given out to physio at USYD last year.

That sounds good then, makes me feel more optimistic. Did you put down other preferences like I did, in the hope that you could choose similar subjects and transfer after a year?

Hehe I just got a phone call from USYD. They said they're going to give me an offer for my first preference.

It still has to be sent via UAC though, but I think they're just letting me know because I applied for the flexible entry scheme.

Thanks. Now I just have to hope that they don't change their mind :p
