i have noticed that a lot of bathurst courses in the SMH had (V) 'Vaccancies' next to them...i have a friend who had 7 of his 9 preferences at bathurst and he got a uai in the mid 50's....after the main round his 2nd and 4th & 5th preferences all still had vaccancies...

He wrote all the required essays...i dont understand why he didnt get in...i thought that all the spaces need to be filled....right down to the last applicant...

what are his chances of gettin in the later rounds...?

thats really weird.. maybe he should call the uni and see whats going on? i dunno.. maybe it was cause of his uai?

theres a certain standard or quota you need in order to get into.
each uni sets its own minimum uai required.. i see csu with many courses standardized at 70.
so if your friend got a uai in the 50s then no chance mate.
he should of applied for Latrobe, they accept people with uais in their 50s in the rural campus.
