Not all uni's are increasing the HECS. If you really feel it is that big an issue then go to ANU or something where it is not increased. I would be more concerned about the reduction of the discount if you pay ahead (ie 20% instead of 25%).

Whether they reverse it or not isn't really a big problem for me, UoW hasn't increased it's HECS yet. :p

Is it actually possible for Latham to reverse the 25% increase? Won't unis have to cut back on things? I wonder if the unis will be able to argue their way out of doing it..

You'd find that the majority are Xayma. And it's a big issue for me, but I'm not going to stand back, give in and make ANU my first preference...

I want that Uni of Melb degree god dammit! lol. And considering the extreme living expenses in cities, I doubt that reducing the 'paying up front discount' will impact on many people.
