So, what'd you think? Tell us, for example:
The commentary on Virgil was gay (that's the commentary, James, not me), and the unseen was easy

i didn't know what arae was but that's okay

yes i agree about the commentary question... pathos and fantasy... hmmm... didn't write much for that one...

was it just me or did the cicero unseen feel really topical? like, king deiotarus was hoarding "copias" of mass destruction?
actually i might just be going crazy... :p

i'm glad they asked about those similes because they're one of my favourite parts of the aeneid... so sad... so beautiful... *tear*

it probably won't count in my units but i'm glad i did latin. i feel lucky to have had the opportunity to read these texts in their original language.

hooray for latin! :)

That's the most honourable thing I've read on this forum ever.

How good was that test!?!

I swear I couldn't have had more favourable circumstances - somehow everything that came fitted exactly everything I knew. I just couldn't have asked for anything more.

What did you guys get for Grammar MC?

For Cicero I got:

a) D
b) C
c) B
d) A
e) C
f) D
g) A
h) D
i) B
j) C

And for Virgil I got:

a) D
b) D
c) A
d) C
e) C
f) D
g) A
h) B
i) C
j) D

And just a question for the Sydney Grammar amici out there, how did Daniel Wong find the test?

Yeah despite the magnitude to which I disagree with that statement, I have to concede one point: the smartest man in the world, who is our Latin teacher, graduated from Sydney Grammar in 1991. He got first in the state in two langauges!

And he came first in the Reading Competition!

I found the Virgil unseen to be very relieving.

And I got h) C for Cicero.

The Aeneid was ok, though some sentences near the end were troubling.
