I hardly remember it that..although I do remember sitting in the completely wrong court and not having any idea what was going on. :p

Ours wasn't a court thing, izzy (well, I was in first year in 2010). Ours was a case note of a case, where you got a case; had to identify the judges (1 mark), the plaintiff (1 mark), the defendant (1 mark), the obiter (4 marks), the ratios (8 marks) etc etc.

Was worth 30% or something ridiculous.

In any case, ickle first years - after first semester, you'll pretty much be doing obiter/ratio in your head for every single case you read, instead of dedicating 10 days to figuring out the obiter/ratio of the one assigned case. :p

Yes, of course it does. Why wouldn't it?

It's also the easiest course to do well in. In saying that, if you bomb out, you only have like....I don't know, 23 other units to do better in? :p But of all 24 law units that you will undertake in law school, Foundations is the easiest one to do well in.
