It was right and wrong, hard to explain. It gave me an aggregate somewhere in the 470s which it says is 100 but i got 99.95. Reading the uac report you need 483.2 to get 100 so it was close enough in terms of aggregate mark.

Lazseeker HSC: 96.30
Lazseeker percentiles: 93 to 91.50 (depending on my harshness - 93 is exactly my percentile, 91.50 was to contain my expectations of today)

Real UAI: 94.50

luvin it. cheers lazseeker :)

Well Lazseeker turned out pretty accurate with percentiles if it was used intelligently (i.e. a good estimate of percentages based off stats from 2001 and 2002). with perhaps slightly conservative percentages Lazseeker predicted 99.35 for me and I got 99.6. Pretty close. With HSC marks Lazseeker gave me 99.95, too bad that wasn't true.

with marks: 100 (agg 479.xx)
with guessing of percentiles last night b4 UAI: 99.80
actual:99.85

I guessed my percentiles fairly well, seems some people were way off or there was a dramatic scaling change?

I was fairly conservative with my percentages, and it predicted 1.6 under my actual UAI...so had I been a bit kinder to myself, it probably would have been pretty spot on.;)

I dont think I quite did the percentiles right, cos I predicted 92.xx that way, and ended up actually getting 95.25

Yeah, I get the feeling some ppl were very optimistic.

i never got around to doing lazseeker using percentiles. however:

lazseeker (just the normal one, with marks) = 99.60
my uai = 99.60

well done lazseeker. i know it's just a fluke, based on my subjects (4u maths, 4u english, 3u french, modern), but it made me laugh. after i got over the shock (of getting that uai, that is, not the shock of lazseeker being right).

lazseeker with marks: 98.90
lazseeker with percentiles: sorry, i'm lazy :)
actual: 97.95

so that's not too bad.

oh, and a cookie remembering if you've agreed to the terms and conditions would be handy, so you've only got to read (or quickly scroll thru :)) them once
