Nope,

Have a read of all of them, know bits and pieces if you have to.

But concentrate on:

Skrzynecki: 3-4 poems
Stimulus Booklet: at least 1, if not 2.

Me?
3 Skrzynecki
1 Stimulus
2 Supplementary

Depends on the question :)

Back that way
Teachers have told me to know SOMETHING about every single one of the texts in the stimulus booklet and each of the Skrzyneki poems just in case they decide to be right little bastards and specify the poems and/or stimulus text to use in the question.
But... know 2-3 poems really well and choose the stimulus that best fits in with them.
Then you hope and pray for the best :)
So no, I'm not learning them all in depth or anything. Like I'd want that shit seared into my brain for all eternity (shudders at the thought).

My teacher also said that if they were to do that, they would have to supply the poems for you, (as most people would pick and choose their own poems, and they won't know anything about the others as much as their 'focus' poems).

But yes, have a general understanding of every poem and all the texts in the Stimulus Booklet, because you would have gone through the Booklet itself and did a couple of analytical exercises on it, I would assume.

I don't think they'll specify which Stimulus Booklet texts to use, because some don't apply for particular Focuses.

For example:

Changing Perspective: Texts 2a/2b, and Sky High.

Changing Self and Changing Worlds would have other texts from the Stimulus Booklet which they could better use (or I could be completely wrong and Sky High/Texts 2a/2b are perfectly good for every Focus :p)

ok, thing is for donne, they have told the exact poem before, and didn't supply it,

- so if any donne people read this, did it say specifically anywhere that you HAD to know ALL of them?

it's like them givin you a book as a text and you only learning the first half...what about the second half? you can't say, they didn't tell us to learn it

i do john donne as well, hate him, if he wasn't dead, i would have killed him...i didn't study all seven of the poems, but i do know a bit about each, all i did was take 2 religious and 2 love poems....there's my sorta 50/50 chance, that ill be ready even if they state a poem
