Most subjects have two hours worth of lectures a week; most of which are two one-hour lectures. I think commerce/business/etc tend to have a few more contact hours...

Some have 3 hours; some have more; some have a combined lecture/tute; some have a practical element.

From memory, there's are a few business units that have huge contact hours. Put up the units you're looking at, and we can give you a specific. :)

Remember that you can generally move your tutorial times around a fair bit, especially with popular subjects.

No, but you can download most of them; probably about 90-95% of all the subjects are available online.

number of hrs of lecture a wk vary differently for diff. faculty, but not a lot.

Some are 2, some are 3, very rarely do they reach 4+

as for downloading lecture, as suki said, theres e-lecture you can download, however some online notes requires a password, so you might need to wait to be a student

if u r doing economics as your core and applied finance, heres how it is

ECON110: 3 x 1 hr lecture on separate days
ECON111: 3 x 1 hr lecture on separate days
ECON141: 1 x 1 hr lecture and 1 x 2 hr lecture
ACCG100: 1 x 2 hr lecture
ACCG101: 1 x 2 hr lecture
ISYS123: 1 x 2 hr lecture
STAT170: I forgot, i think it was 3 hrs worth of lecture on two days.
ACST101: 2 x 1 hr lecture on different days.

All of these lectures also have a 1 hr tute, for ISYS there is a 2 hr prac and for STAT a 1 hr prac.

All lectures begin somewhere 5 min past the hour and ends usually 5 min before the hour, e.g. when it says "10" it means somewhere from 10:05 to 10:55, sometimes u finish early sometimes a little later, depends on the lecturer.

Chances are, u will also have ilecture, this means one of the streams is recorded and uploaded onto the internet for u to download, but unfortunately, the lecturer will draw diagrams on overheads or use slides that can be seen n ilecture, its only audio.

Even though the hours of lectures for each unit differs, they are all worth 3CP, it means that u have to put in 3 hr of "study" per CP per week, so first semester is 3 x 3 x 4 = 36 hrs a week. No one i know goes even clsoe to this, but if u want to aim high.....

this is how you find all the hours you will be spending at MQ uni ... just follow these easy steps

step 1: go to the MQ homepage (http://www.mq.edu.au/)

step 2: click on "Handbook" (it's on the tope right of the screen)

step 3: look under the heading 'Undergraduate Study' and click on the last option (it's the one that says "What units are offered, including prerequisites, semester offered, description and mode?"

step 4: click on your desired prefix (im guessing your a business or economics guy, so look for BBA and ECON)

step 5: now click on the actual unit you are planning on doing (for example, we clicked 'BBA' in step 4 and want to do BBA111, so yes that's right click on BBA111)

step 6: once your chosen unit has been selected look for CONTACT HOURS. thats how many hours a week that unit requires you to be at uni

easy

it depends on the timetable. u make the timetable, when u enroll or go online u see the options and make your choice.

If the timetable is posible, u can make all your lectures in one day from 9 to 21 or spread them out for the entire five days, ur choice, which ever suits your lifestyle.

Some people here have 2 or 3 day uni weeks, and do about 13-16 hrs
