I have my legal speech coming up, and im talking about a particular defence which is mental illness. N i really need help in trying to start my speech with a one of a kind introduction. Im trying to think of something interesting so i can grab their attention. Any ideas on how i can start?

maybe you can like act it out, for eg. write ABC on the board or something and just say XYZ instead of ABC. anyways, thats my quick suggestion before I head off to school.......

Start off with anything but 'good morning/afternoon....' - so mundane

Start out with a definition. eg. So, what is a mental illness? Well, dictionary.com describes a mental illness as blah blah blah

or maybe u could act like u have a mental illness for a bit and then go into the speech saying how it is a defence etc.

Just act a bit crazy for a few moments. No offence was intended there by the way.
