wat kind of better are u talking about? in term of scaling, economics is better. depend which subject do u like better. if u are a science-type of person like me, i will suggest u give economics a go. but if u are history/social science-type of person, u should choose legal studies then.

+1

sometimes a good teacher can make a lot of difference too. i found that they were rather complementary.

Look at the syllabus and some textbooks and decide for yourself depending on your preference.

If you are interested in Law, how the court system works, and issues associated with Law, do Legal Studies. If you are more interested in how economies work, how aspects of the economy interact, and economic issues, do Economics.

-Eco is more difficult in that every topic relates to one another ie chapters are intertwined, so to speak
-Legal is very simple

Your choice

I'm doing both, however, i'm doing economics by correspondence (Syd. Distance Ed.)
It really depends on subjects you enjoy, and with what has already been said, theres not much else to it. Scaling would only work well if you do well in the subject, which is influenced by how much effort you put into it, which is then factored by how much you enjoy the subject!

Just my two cents, but i'm in favour of economics. Legal is alot content.

Legal Studies is awesome :) Economics at the moment is abit dry, but im sure it'll be interesting soon.. maybe :p However, in terms of scaling, as said in one of the posts above, Economics is higher.

Personally, I would go for economics. It has a higher scaling for ATAR, and the subject matter is very interesting. But I'm more of an economics minded person. Do whatever you think you'll do best at/which interests you more.

im doing economics now.... sucha fail subject in my opinion

depends what type of person u are: if u r better at remembering and regurgitating then legal is for you. If u are better at applying ur knowledge to current issues (ie economic issues) then economics is the way to go
