I think it's irrelevant whether she was a conscious nazi supporter or an artist, as regardless her impact on society didn't change. She still helped the Nazi cause a great deal and even so, anyone who's seen her films can tell instantly that they reaked of propaganda.

i agree. eg triumph of the will...thats the one on the nuremburg rally, right? she makes hitler looks like a god, the dominance, low angel shots, close ups of the soldiers, and funny how theyre all so perfectly-aryan looking.

if she didnt want to give that impression she didnt have to. but yeh...i still dont like her..or modern histroy >=(

I think she was an opportunist... because she had talented but used it in the wrong way. Without Triumph of the will, Olympia Leni wouldn't have got a strong feedback in her career, she used Hilter but was stupid to follow his ways. When she saw what Hitler was doing in Poland, that is what saved her from war time sentencing.
