when it comes to music its better to see ourselves as part of the british empire, then we can be associated with bands like radiohead, muse, placebo, blur, oasis, the darkness and of course the beatles, rolling stones, sex pistols, clash etc..

The good aussie bands are mostly overlooked.

thats cause aussie bands are alternative and not "popular"
the aria's are based on record sales and popularity aren't they?
aussie bands wont get anywhere near the sales figures of a pop singer
